Crack Repairs

Is that crack in your basement floor or foundation dangerous? That simple question can cost thousands and thousands of dollars if you don’t answer it right away. Some cracks in your basement are completely harmless. Others are a sign of a much bigger problem. If it’s a small crack (around 5 feet in length) we would simply patch it. If it’s something more, or in a newer home, we would likely patch down to the footing. It’s always best to have a trained professional inspect any and all worrisome cracks, so you can address the issue, or get the peace-of-mind of knowing it’s nothing serious.

French Drains

Do you have water damage or drainage issues in your basement? A professionally installed French drain could be the answer. French drains are trenches dug into your property and covered with gravel or rock. We bury a perforated pipe that redirects surface water away from your building to a septic tank or drain area. So when the heavy rain hits, the water drains exactly where it should go. These are ideal for many homes in the GTA, as they give your property the drainage it needs, before, during or after the building process. They typically can last for up to 10 years, but make sure you have your French drains inspected regularly. A clogged drainage system can do as much harm as not having one at all. Our experienced staff can help you with that as well.

Sump Pumps

Don't let a simple sump pump issue cost you thousands of dollars or the use of your basement. When your sump pump is working, it's a remarkably effective way of managing excess water and keeping things under control. When they malfunction, the results can be disastrous. You had a false sense of security because you assumed it was regulating everything.

What is Weeping Tile?

These are actually not tiles, at all. They are porous 4-inch pipes that get rid of underground water. They’re placed, holes side up, into a trench around the outside of the building or under your basement floor. As ground water rises, it travels safely through the holes into the pipe. It then follows the pipe’s slope to flow away from the house or to a sump pump where it is pumped away.

When Do I Need Weeping Tile Work Done

It’s fairly simple, you either need weeping tiles installed when you’re having drainage issues in your yard. Or, you may need to replace your property’s old and deteriorating clay weeping tile with new plastic materials. Our experienced and professional staff can help you in either situation, while getting the work done on time and on budget.

Window Wells

Not installing a small thing like window wells can lead to a big expense later. If your windows aren’t draining properly, the water can flow right into your basement between the window frame and the top of your wall, or it can leak through the window itself. One bad rainstorm can lead to enough water to cost you thousands of dollars in damage. Window wells are a simple fix, but need to be installed by an expert. Failure to install them correctly can do more harm than good and send rain water directly down your wall into the basement. With so much at stake, this is usually not a do-it-yourself job, and you should trust trained professionals.
